Andy Albright to Deliver Address for ELS at N.C. State University

BURLINGTON, N.C. – National Agents Alliance President and Chief Executive Officer Andy Albright will deliver the keynote address to students at North Carolina State University at the McKimmon Center on Monday, during the Entrepreneurship Initiative Lecture Series in Raleigh, N.C.

The event is hosted by the N.C. State Entrepreneurship Initiative and Triangle Entrepreneurship Week. Albright, a 1986 graduate at N.C. State, has devoted his time to speaking and mentoring to students at N.C. State annually and strongly supports the Entrepreneurship Initiative.

Andy Albright, who founded National Agents Alliance in 2002, has guided his company into the top Internet Marketing Organization for mortgage protection insurance in the last decade. He is the author of the book, The 8 Steps to Success, and has just finished his second book, Millionaire Maker Manual, which will be published in January 2012.

Andy Albright has mentored students on a regular basis at National Agents Alliance’s Burlington-based campus. He is steadfast in offering students opportunities he didn’t have upon graduation, and often counsels graduates seeking employment.

“I’m excited to visit and address the students at N.C. State,” Albright said. “I love giving back to my university and I love what the Entrepreneurship Initiative offers our next bright superstars. Tom Miller and his people do an awesome job, and I can’t wait to speak with young people that dream of achieving the dream of being their own boss.”

Dr. Tom Miller, Executive Director of the N.C. State Entrepreneurship Initiative, said Albright’s support has been vital to the program’s success.
“Andy has always been an avid supporter of the N.C. State Entrepreneurship Initiative, since its very beginning,” Miller said. “I am delighted that he will be participating in our Entrepreneurs Lecture Series on Monday to share his passion for making a difference through entrepreneurial endeavor. It will certainly be an inspiring message to our students and others in our audience.”

The EI program encourages students to grow the entrepreneurial spirit by encouraging multi-disciplinary participation with faculty, staff, industry and students, in hopes of building a community within and beyond N.C. State that thrives on a creative, immersive entrepreneurial experience for all.

The ELS is designed to showcase outstanding innovation and entrepreneurship among N.C. State alumni and partners.  The lecture series is made possible by a grant from the Albrights. The goal of the EI program is to build a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship for N.C. State students through programs and opportunities that help prepare them to be North Carolina’s job creators and leaders of tomorrow.
Albright will be joined at the lectern by John Harthorne and Heather Hesketh at the event.

Harthorne is the Founder and CEO of MassChallenge, a startup competition and accelerator designed to catalyze a startup renaissance by connecting high-impact startups from around the world with the resources they need to launch and succeed. In the first year since joining the 2010 MassChallenge accelerator program, the first group of 111 MassChallenge startups raised more than $90 Million in outside funding and created nearly 500 new jobs. The 2011 MassChallenge competition received over 730 applications from 34 states and 24 countries.

In January of 2011, President Barack Obama identified MassChallenge as one of America’s most effective startup accelerators and announced MassChallenge as an inaugural member of the Startup America Partnership to promote high-growth startups across the country and around the world.
