BURLINGTON, N.C.– National Agents Alliance President and Chief Executive Officer Andy Albright announced that Jon Gordon, motivational speaker and bestselling author, will headline the list of guest speakers at the company’s “Be Your Own Rock Star” Version 2.0 national convention Jan 26-29, 2012 in Raleigh, N.C.

Gordon’s best-selling books and talks have inspired thousands of readers and millions of people around the world. His methods have been tested by numerous NFL, NBA and NCAA coaches and teams, Fortune 500 companies, school systems, hospitals and non-profits.

Gordon is the author of The Wall Street Journal bestseller The Energy Bus, The No Complaining Rule, Training Camp, The Shark and The Goldfish, Soup: A Recipe to Nourish Your Team and Culture, and his latest book The Seed: Finding Purpose and Happiness in Life and Work. Gordon’s tips have been featured on The Today Show, CNN, Fox and Friends and in numerous magazines and newspapers. His clients include the Atlanta Falcons, Campbell’s Soup, Wells Fargo, State Farm, Novartis, Bayer and many other successful companies.

“We are fired up about having Jon Gordon come spend some time with our team at our national convention,” Albright said. “I’ve enjoyed reading his books and we like the work we’ve seen him do with so many big companies and professional and college sports teams. We know that our team will get a lot from hearing him speak and we are excited to have him in Raleigh in January.”

Andy Albright also announced that National Agents Alliance had secured the speaking services of Debbie Yow, North Carolina State University’s athletic director; Benny Suggs, executive director of N.C. State Alumni Association; Tim Goad, founder and president of Tim Goad International and Wayne Goodwin, North Carolina Commissioner of Insurance.

Yow, the sister of the late N.C. State women’s basketball coach Kay Yow, is in her second year as the Wolfpack’s athletic director. Yow spent 16 years in the same position at Maryland and presided over an athletic department that won 20 NCAA titles. The Terrapins captured titles in men’s basketball, men’s soccer (two) women’s basketball, women’s lacrosse (eight), field hockey (four) and competitive cheering (four). She was the first female athletic director in the Atlantic Coast Conference, and Sports Illustrated ranked Maryland among the nation’s top 20 NCAA athletic programs.

Suggs, the North Carolina State Alumni Association executive director, believes in life it’s all about doing the right thing – and having fun along the way. Suggs, a 1969 N.C. State graduate, served for 30 years in the U.S. Navy and was Deputy Commander In Chief, U.S. Special Operations Command. He was general manager of the Harley Owners Group and Rider Services at Harley-Davidson Motor Co. until he retired in 2000.

“When you can pull in two people like Debbie and Benny who have been at the top of their respective fields, you don’t let that chance slip away,” said Albright, a 1986 N.C. State graduate. “Somehow with their busy schedules we were still able to get them locked in for our event. They both love the Wolfpack and I know they will rock the house with us.”

Tim Goad is the founder of Tim Goad Ministries where he uses music, mission and a message to people most in need in the United States and abroad. He travels with his family to provide humanitarian aid to the elderly, inner-city youth and impoverished people around the world. He hosts relationship conferences with his wife, Gaye, tours with his children, Blake and BreAnn and teaches leadership skills to pastors and businessmen. He is the author of several books and has an audio teaching series that discusses his “lead the leader” message. He is National Agents Alliance’s Cultural Coach.

Goodwin serves as the North Carolina Commissioner of Insurance. He previously served as a Democratic member of the North Carolina General Assembly. He earned undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, before serving four full terms in the state house.
