McClary to address National Agents Alliance at ‘Key To Tomorrow’ Leadership Conference

A familiar friend will speak to National Agents Alliance later this week at the Raleigh Convention Center.

Clebe McClary, a Vietnam War veteran and motivational speaker, will visit the NAA team for the third time in the last decade, National Agents Alliance President and Chief Executive Officer Andy Albright said today.

McClary is just one of several high-profile speakers appearing at NAA’s “Key To Tomorrow” Leadership Conference July 12-15. Author and leadership coach Brian Tracy is the keynote speaker, while a representative from Duke Children’s Hospital (Eve Griffith), Tim Goad and several other guest speakers are scheduled.

“We’ve enjoyed having Clebe and his wife Deanna at our events in the past and we are so excited to have them visit with us again,” Albright said. “Clebe is a true American hero and I know our people are ready to hear his story and his message. It’s going to be an amazing event and the McClarys are going to be a big part of it.”

More than a dozen insurance carriers – including Mutual of Omaha, ING, Foresters, Baltimore Life, Monumental and F&G Life – will also have field representatives at the three-day event. Event organizers anticipate more than 2,500 agents from across the United States to attend, bringing a $600,000 injection to the city of Raleigh.

McClary was on his 19th recon patrol deep in hostile territory when his unit was in hand-to-hand combat during the Vietnam War. He suffered serious, life-threatening injuries, which included the loss of his left arm and left eye. He spent two year in various military hospitals and had 30 major surgeries and countless hours of physical therapy. Since that time, McClary has used his powerful story to inspire audiences all over the world. He has spoken in all 50 states of the U.S. and to people in more than 30 countries.
