NAA Continues to Honor Our Heroes

Nick Milkovich has always had a sense of duty and honor. He is always quick to help others and he even joined the Boy Scouts and achieved the highest rank of “Eagle Scout” as a teenager.

While attending Firestone High School in Akron, Ohio, Nick was able to earn the highest ROTC scholarship. He then went on to attend and graduate from Norwich University, a military institute in Vermont.

Upon completion he entered the Army as a Lieutenant and graduated from Airborne and Ranger Schools. Now, he is a Captain in a Ranger Battalion in Afghanistan. Nick was just notified that he will be attending “Major School” when his deployment is over. He is moving up the ranks as fast as the Army allows. Nick has recently been accepted into a “Special Forces” unit that is based at Fort Lewis. He will deploy quickly and at a moment’s notice, but now deployments will be shorter.

Nick got married in 2009 to a lovely woman who understands his commitment to the Army. While he is deployed they try to keep in contact through emails and phone calls. When Nick is able to be home they like to spend as much time together as possible.

Nick enjoys spending time with his 3 dogs and enjoys being outside and at the ocean.

His next goal is to make Lt. Colonel and he sees it in sight so much that he is confident in winning a bet from his older brother.

Nick is fortunate enough to be living his dream of serving in the Army and we are all fortunate enough to have soldiers like him on our front lines.

Mary Watt’s is an NAA® agent direct to Alex Fitzgerald, and nominated her son-in-law’s brother Nick to be a featured military hero. “The Military Heroes Campaign exemplifies the character and backbone of National Agents Alliance. There are so many components to NAA that are all about giving back and being a servant in this business. This campaign is just that to our troops.   We can’t walk in their shoes, but can make a concerted effort to let them know we in the USA have the deepest respect for what they stand for and any time we can acknowledge their bravery and give back is one more way to serve our troops and say “thank you”.” said Mary Watts.

On a regular basis, NAA® will select a deployed soldier to feature on our website for recognition of their hard work and bravery. The featured soldier will be mailed a care package to show our appreciation of their heroic efforts.

If you wish to contribute to the CARE package, or if you have a family member who is serving overseas, please contact Katie Reavis at or 336-227-3319 x247”
